Preparation for the therapeutic activities programming in older adult community’s .Topics include: the study of aging, special populations, adaptive activities, communication techniques, assessment, medical terminology, federal regulations and documentation. A requirement of State and a prerequisite for Activity Certification

Dementia/Alzheimer’s Seminar
This comprehensive seminar will enhance your training. Course includes: diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, communication and much more. An introduction for people working or dealing with dementia and disease Alzheimer’s disease. Upon completion of this seminar you are eligible to apply for Certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. You must meet the NCCDP requirements for certification.
